Joy Thoresen Michaels has lost the two most precious people in her life her husband and her only child. She cannot receive her husband back from the dead, but she has hope for her son—hope that he will be recovered
“I spoke a moment ago about my prairie heritage—the enduring faith my papa and mama lived as an example for me. It is because of their faith that I have such hope for Edmund even though he is, today, lost to us.
“You see, what is lost to us is not—is not—lost to God! I remember Papa saying this very thing In God, the lost are found. Our Lord sees the entire world—and nothing in all of his creation is hidden to him! I am comforted to know that wherever Edmund is, God is there with him.”
Four families bind themselves in a solemn pledge They vow to never stop searching for Edmund and to never stop trusting that God will restore him to them, whether in this life or the next.
Lost Are Found chronicles how God answers those who utterly trust in him, no matter the circumstances—and no matter how long the wait.

This series of books are my all time favorite and I wish I could give copies of the series to all my loved ones. They show what it looks like to be a Christian. This is the second time reading through them and I couldn't put them down this time either. Vikki Kestell makes her characters so real, you feel as though you know them and expect them to come through the door at any time. What I love most though is how she makes the Lord the center and the life of these books. The various characters are in different stages of their walk with the Lord; some are unsaved, others are new believers, some are mature in their faith. Through the daily lives of the people we see how the Lord intends for His children to live - both during good times, hard times and tragedy. We're shown how the Lord woos them, saves them, and guides their daily lives; encouraging, comforting, strengthening, and disciplining them. We see to the amazing way He is in control of all things, working all things out according to His will. These books will make you angry, make you cry, make you laugh, and make amazed anew at our Lord. They'll strengthen your faith. and make you eager to do more for your Lord. To me, these books are a shining example of Christian fiction at it's very best. Once you start reading this first book in the series, you won't want to stop until you've read them all - and you'll still want more! (first read series in January 2016)Product details

Lost Are Found A Prairie Heritage Book 6 edition by Vikki Kestell Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I have now read all six of the Prairie Heritage series. All I can say is that I don't think I have ever read a series with such suspense, romance and faith and unusual story lines. One of my favorite things about these books is that they were I predictable. The stories are very different from the usual Christian Historical Romance genre. If you like reading a great story that is unpredictable, with characters who have real character flaws, mystery and suspense mixed with presentations of the gospel that do not interrupt the plot but actually move it forward you will love these books. Start with the prequel ... And read all six. You will be glad you did. I couldn't put them down. My only regret is the series is over.
Like so many of the other reviewers; when I first started the 6th book of the series I couldn't figure out what was going on since it skipped so many years from the 5th to 6th Book. I soon found the connection and actually thought it was amoung the 3 best books of the series and a clever way to END the series. What disturbed me about the entire series of books was how hard it was to determine the sequence of the books. There was conflicting information regards the sequence of the series. Some books purchased were actually two books in one. I had read the 2nd book in the Series several years back and at that time did not know it was a series. The First and 2nd books of the series were the best and written the best. I enjoyed this last book and thought while reading most of the book that it was the best book of the series; until I got to the last chapter; which droned on and on and on - thought it would never finish; then discovered it did not conclude the series; but at SOME POINT IN TIME there will be more books to this series. I would prefer her to have tied this story up neatly and then go on to her next book. Don't know that I'll read this author again.....too much aggravation regards the sequence of the books and then the abrupt endings that don't conclude the story. It's a shame because the stories themselves are interesting; just no conclusions.
In all honesty, I have to say that when I first started reading "Lost Are Found", I wondered where on earth Vikki was going with this story. As usual though, it was one that captured my attention from the very beginning. I was going to "save" it to read on my cruise but I did sneak peek the first two chapters before leaving the house. I just couldn't help it and it was sheer torture to put it down and not open it before we left two days later. What a wonderful book - the GRAND finale of "A Prairie Heritage". "Lost are Found" is a story of a lonely and despondent woman who thought she was all alone in the world and had no one to love or to love her. It's a story of that warm feeling of joy and exhilaration after finding something that we never knew existed. Of finding something so beautiful when we think there is nothing to find. "Kari" - you touched my heart . Vikki - you are truly a great "storyteller" and I am so ready for "the rest of the story".
After having read the entire series, I have some thoughts about these books. They are very good! The reason I did not give them 5 * is because a couple of the books had too much evil and killing, there were some loose ends of the story that were never mentioned again and some of the "happenings" were too far-fetched to be believable as part of the tale. (How do these authors imagine all this?)
Some of the things I liked were that each book has very strong devout Christian men, the scriptures were used often, and, how the Word was used as a guide in all their trials and joys. I was amazed at how the Word was applied in their lives over and over and how the people grew into a deep walk with God after their salvation experience. It was truly a blessing and brought tears to my eyes many times.
You can't help but love Rose & Jan, then Joy as their lives move forward.
As others thought, when I came to book #6, I thought the wrong book was downloaded ! A skip of 80 years? I have never read a series like that. Why would she do that? Well into the book, it was apparent to me -- she was relating to us another Biblical truth!
Overall, I loved the books.
